Job descriptionComprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of oral hygiene and periodontal care Ability to work and communicate with a large group of professionals; dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and leadership staff Knowledge of dental medical emergencies Knowledge of public health, social and economic factors that impact the health and oral health of patients The ability to travel to other CHCB locations as necessary Dental scrub allocation for new employees Vermont licensure renewal reimbursement for licensed roles Paid CE time (additional to allotted CTO) and CE funds for licensed applicable roles Student loan repayment opportunities through outside agencies such as NHSC and PSLF Updated clinical operatory space Schick sensor x-ray software / technology Panoramic imaging Nextgen Medical / Dental record HuFriedy / Dentsply / American Eagle hygiene instruments, cassettes assigned per provider Tap-on Cavitron / prophy polisher available in each hygiene op All adult prophies 60 min+ appointment time – provider (dental hygienist) has the ability to add time to appointments as necessary Flexibility with working hours – create your “ideal” schedule! 3 active dental sites – option to work at 1, 2 or all 3 once fully orientated Excellent Medical, Dental and Vision coverage $600 annual wellness reimbursement! (We'll pay you for being active!) We are seeking full time Dental Hygienists to join the team at CHC's Riverside Avenue practice location in Burlington, VT. This site is nestled between eclectic Winooski and cultural Burlington, Vermont. CHC’s Dental Hygienists are responsible for evaluating patient oral health, dental / medical history, dental complaints, and completing dental hygiene procedures in a public health setting.
Community Health Centers offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work among a tight-knit team of dental professionals providing equitable quality care to all.
Compensation commensurate with direct experience within the range of $40.82 to $52.31 per hour.
Basic Qualifications
- Vermont State License in Dental Hygienist with Local Anesthetic Endorsement
- Current CPR / AED Certification
- 3 years of experience desired, but not required; new graduates welcome!
