SUMMARY

Supervises and coordinates the activities of workers concerned with picking product and preparing it for shipping to the customer and bringing material into facility. Dispatches shipments to trucking companies. Reports to Plant Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises shipping and receiving functions and stock pulling functions
• Ensures correct shipment of orders to customers
• Ensures proper packaging of finished goods
• Manages warehousing functions of finished product
• Dispatches outbound shipments
• Coordinates inbound pickups and unloading
• Approves employee work hours and payroll
• Approves freight invoices
• Manages operation (including maintenance) of forklift fleet
• Works with sales to manage truck routes and freight costs
• Assigns duties and examines work
• Ensures safety of all employees
• Provides training to new and existing employees
• Approves hours of work and payroll
• Maintains good housekeeping of areas assigned
• Enforces all rules and regulations
• Any other duties required by Plant Manager
