Mar Petcare is looking for a Operator 2 to join our exciting Nutro business at one of our manufacturing plants located in Kansas City Mo.

Operator 2 is a system expert in their assigned area and is highly functional in multiple areas. Operator 2s must always work safely. They will ensure efficiency operational conformance product quality and drive continuous improvement. Operator 2s are responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. They need to be familiar with the manufacturing change-over process. Operator 2s must be flexible and have the ability to operate other equipment in the facility as needed. This job requires strong communication Interpersonal and team-building skills to support site objectives. Punctuality is a must.

Responsibilities

• Operating equipment to complete the conversion process and package the finished product prior to shipping to our customers.
• Conducting problem-solving and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Loading packaged material clearing jams resetting faults conducting change-overs quality checks reporting issues and maintaining area GMPs.
• Completing basic preventative maintenance work as assigned (CILs)
• Ensuring quality & food safety procedural conformance
• Wearing required PPE and reporting any safety hazards immediately
• The ability to communicate accurate and timely information using computer technology.
• Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a positive attitude. Must be reliable conscientious punctual and have a good work ethic.
• Conduct sanitation activities as required
• Conduct and manage inventory throughout the production process
• Provide informal leadership to temporary associates throughout the production process
