ID : 73139926 Shift : 19 : 00-07 : 00 Description : - RN - NEURO PCU (634) - 13 WEEKS - 7 : 00P-7 : 00AWe are looking for PCU level experience, but we want them to be aware that they could still float to other med surg areas within our floor ( ortho / neuro) and then also others within the hospital. Our currently PCU is neuro focused and takes 4 : 1, when floating to other med surg level areas they would be at 5 : 1 or 6 : 1. Profiles will include location, number of beds, patient rations, and other unique details to assist recruiting professional in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff. Data Collection : Unit Information : Location : NPCU / 4 west neuro Building : SDMC Order Detail : Facility Department Number : 63479 Discipline : PCU and Med-surg Quantity : 2 Target Start Date : asap Shift : nights Call Requirements Weekends : yes ( every other weekend) General Information Tell us about the unit(s) : Number of Beds 8 beds Number of Staff 2-3 nurses Type of staff : o Day Shift (example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters) o Night Shift 2 nures, 1 PCT, 1 charge (shared with 4 west patients) Patient Ratios 1 : 4 Type of equipment GE hardwired monitors in 4 rooms EMR Meditech Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y / N) y Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for : (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. IV medication Drips ACLS NIH certification (will need to get by start date if doesn t already have) Cardiac monitoring Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. trachs List typical procedures performed on unit(s) : Best personality Fit : teamwork Communication Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. • Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent. Neuro focus PCU unit when working in this unit, nurses will be at a 4 : 1 nurse / patient ratio. Contract labor nurses could be asked to float to med surg areas within the floor and / or hospital which is at a 5 / 6 : 1 ratio. NCPU unit has a charge nurse that is shared with the main neuro unit.
