Compensation

Salary Range : $22.56 - $32.31 per hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Responsibilities

Position Overview :

The Lead Environmental Services Tech works as part of a team to direct and manage the institutional housekeeping program, ensuring clean, orderly, and attractive conditions within the establishment. This is achieved by performing the following duties personally or by directing tasks through department employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Will assume supervisory (Lead Environmental Services Tech) responsibilities on day(s) when the Supervisor (Community Memorial Hospital Ventura), or Manager, Environmental Services (Community Memorial Hospital Ventura or Community Memorial Hospital Ojai) are not present.

While performing the duties of Lead Environmental Services Tech, the individual may manage up to 28 employees and is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of work for the day. Supervisory responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, applicable laws, and department processes. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, and rewarding employees. The Lead Environmental Services Tech may also be asked to address complaints and resolve problems as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to speak, read, and write in English

• Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) related to the use and handling of chemicals
• One (1) year of previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, janitorial services, or a related field
