Flo-Rite Mechanical is flourishing and we're in search of a seasoned HVAC Service Tech III to join our family and play an integral role in the growth of the Service department. You will have the opportunity to work with top-of-the-line commercial equipment and leverage your extensive HVAC knowledge and expertise to deliver critical troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, retrofitting, consultation and design solutions for a variety of chiller systems and related commercial grade mechanical equipment per the unique needs of our growing commercial customer base. Key Responsibilities :
- Service, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of large commercial chiller systems and related mechanical equipment with little to no supervision. Such tasks include but not limited to : heat exchanger clean out, brushing tubes, changing oil, tearing down / rebuilding large tonnage commercial chillers.
- Leverage and apply cooling principles, practices, and theories such as : refrigerant cycles, heat transfer laws, test and balance, and fluid hydronics.
- Operate aerial man lifts, refrigerant recovery equipment, overhead cranes, hoists, power tools, electrical testing instruments, and other equipment used in the industrial HVAC trade.
- Read and interpret mechanical, piping and electrical drawings, blueprints and diagrams.
- Responsible for conducting regular inspections and properly completing all required project and service documentation.
- Ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.
Required Experience and Qualifications :
5+ years of hands-on Commercial HVAC service / repair experience to complete required repairs and maintenance on a variety of chiller manufacturers, boilers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, VAV systems and associated HVAC systems equipment such as pumps, motors, valves in accordance with all codes, laws, and regulations.Complete understanding of refrigeration cycles and processes.Advanced electrical and plumbing troubleshooting skills.Understanding of business side operations and self-supporting work ethic.Universal EPA refrigerants license.Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Products.Maintain a professional appearance.Willing to work overtime as needed.Pass national criminal background check.Current driver’s license with clean driving record.High School Diploma or GED.Additional qualifications that would be beneficial in this role include :
