Job descriptionMaintains a safe, private, clean, and healthy living environment for residents. Conducts room inspections, facility inspections, and reports findings by verbal and documentation. Handles new client intakes which includes property search, heat treating of clothing, room, mentor assignments, etc. Performs and documents breathalyzer and urinalysis testing, as necessary. Assists residents with self-administration of prescribed medications. Participates in any required staff meetings, oversights and / or drills; to include clinical and operational oversight as well as fire drills and disaster plans. Chaperone clients to offsite appointments. May be required to cover additional shifts as needed. Perform other duties, as required. Must meet Arizona Department of Health Services personnel member requirements of : at least 21 years old; or licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice. Current CPR / First Aid / Narcan training. Current and annual negative TB Test. Current and valid Fingerprint Clearance Card. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check performed annually and upon hire, preferred. Successfully pass a background check and an Arizona Department of Health Services Adult Protective Services check. Working knowledge of the 12-step program. Knowledge of Computer / Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead and mentor others. Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required. 1 to 3 months related experience, and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fast paced behavioral health residential setting. Primarily indoors, however, some outdoor Compensation : section 3(m) of the Fair Labor Standards Act permits an employer, under certain conditions, to count as wages, the reasonable cost of furnishing a caregiver employee with board, lodging or other facilities toward its minimum wage obligations, 29 U.S.C. 203(m). While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and seldom lift and / or move > Morning, evenings, overnights, holidays weekdays and weekends. Valid AZ Drivers License. Job Summary : The Behavioral Health Resident Manager is responsible for supporting the Program Coordinator and Assistant Program Coordinator in maintaining facility operations during all operating hours.
