LPN / RN School Based (Staffing)

Description

Location : Schools throughout Erie County, PA

Overview :

• LPN / RN to provide substitute nursing services across Erie County Schools on a PRN basis.
• Fill in for school nurses as needed across multiple districts, grades K-12
• Attend field trips to provide medical support as needed.
• Occasionally assist on transportation routes for students with special needs.

Compensation :   LPN - $31, RN - $35

Job Responsibilities :

Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions

Verifying vaccination records and maintain state vaccine reports

Taking students’ temperatures when fever is suspected

Administering first aid and CPR

Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes, and bruises

Contacting parents when students are ill or injured

Requirements :

LPN or RN nursing license in state of PA

CPR & First Aid Certification

Knowledge of any state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.

Demonstrates clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communication, and compassionate.

Ability to demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor when working with children
