This position is responsible for coordinating and evaluating treatment center variance requests and correspondence to ensure regulatory requirements are met and maintained for licensing as a treatment center.
Your specific responsibilities include :
- Responsible for all supervisory duties including, but not limited to, hiring and selection, developing performance plans, conducting performance appraisals, planning and directing their work, approving leave, and taking disciplinary action as appropriate.
- Review variance requests and correspondence to ensure compliance with appropriate rules and statutes.
- Generate response letters to variance requests for management review as directed to ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Review response letters generated by staff to ensure consistency and compliance with appropriate rules and statutes.
- Coordinate the daily operations of the unit to efficiently meet licensure requirements and activities assigned by management.
- Communicate and apply all Department of Health licensure rules, policies, and guidelines for treatment centers.
- Evaluate and analyze rules, policies and guidelines regarding licensure and make recommendations to leadership as appropriate for enhancements and changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include :
Proficient computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; knowledge of computer data bases; knowledge and use of the compliance management system and licensing system used by the Agency; understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents; communicating effectively with others in writing; listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate; developing approaches for implementing an idea; motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job; knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures and government rules & regulations; investigating and researching; finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information; knowing how to find information and identifying essential information; organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage time; make sound judgments; interpret, understand and apply applicable rules, regulations and policies and procedures; ability to maintain strict confidentiality; ability to travel; ability to pass a thorough background investigation.Qualifications include :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study OR 4 years of professional experience in licensure and regulatory compliance; applying applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures through regulatory operational activities; AND3 years of supervisory experience.Professional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.Must have a valid Driver's license.Where you will work :
