In 2020, WorldWide Electric acquired the Louis Allis Company. Founding in 1901, Louis Allis produced specialty motors for unique and demanding applications. Industrial, military, and municipal customers from around the world trust Louis Allis to provide specialty motors up to 20,000 hp. In July 2021 WorldWide Electric acquired the frequency converter and generator producer, Georator Corporation. And in October 2021, WorldWide Electric acquired Gleason-Avery, a specialty OEM gearmotor manufacturer.

In January 2024 WorldWide Electric purchased North American Electric which has helped expand our company specifically in the electric motors and motor controls area and providing our customers with product availability, value and quality of service.

Combining the wide-reaching sales, service, and support of WorldWide Electric with the custom specialty motor capability of Louis Allis, the generator and frequency converter capability of Georator / Athlon and the gearmotors from Gleason-Avery creates a one-of-a-kind supplier dedicated to providing the best products and support in the industry. WorldWide Electric,

Louis Allis, Georator, Athlon and Gleason-Avery can provide a full range of standard off-the-shelf products, modified standard products and full custom specialty products.

Requisite skills necessary to perform this position :

• Sales experience – including prospecting, cold calling, and account management
• Strong communicator – both oral and written
• Excellent phone and data entry skills
• Ability to travel extensively and spend frequent nights away from home
