Progressive Critical Care Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Progressive Critical Care Nurse to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the region, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.

The ideal candidate will possess competence in the care of medical and surgical populations, hold an ACLS certification, and have advanced knowledge in hemodynamic management. Familiarity with the usage of pressors, antihypertensive, and sedative drips, as well as familiarity with thrombo-embolytics and infection prevention protocols, is essential. Experience with HFNC, BiPap / Cpap, and oxypendent care is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to high acuity patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to protocols.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
  • Utilize advanced hemodynamic monitoring techniques.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Epic experience is required.
  • Experience in adult Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and community hospital ICU settings is preferred.
  • ACLS certification is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of advanced hemodynamic management techniques.
  • Ability to manage a patient load of up to 3 high acuity patients.

    This position requires a shift from 7 PM to 7 : 30 AM, covering night hours.
