Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults and Geriatrics Patient Volume / Census : Typical Emergency Department census (TBD) Admissions : Yes Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : General Emergency Medicine, including Trauma, Cardiac, and Medical Emergencies Office Equipment Available : Standard ED equipment Specialty Backup Available : Full hospital specialty support Support Staff Available : Nurses, APPs, ancillary staff Reason for Coverage : Supplemental coverage Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes Credentialing Timeline : Approximately 65 days Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Emergency medical evaluations and treatment Management of acute and critical conditions Advanced airway management Trauma stabilization Coordination with specialty and inpatient services Licenses : Active Missouri medical license (must have at submission) Board : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine DEA : Active DEA certification required Certifications : ACLS, ATLS, PALS required Experience : Prior Emergency Medicine experience required for FP / IM candidates Other Qualifications : Proficiency in emergency medicine procedures and hospital EMR systems Provide high-quality emergency medical care for patients presenting to the Emergency Department Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and emergent medical conditions Collaborate with nursing and support staff for coordinated patient care Communicate effectively with admittin
