Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. 5–10 years of estimating experience within concrete or self-performing trades. Strong proficiency with estimating software (e.g., OST, Bluebeam, Excel). Ability to manage multiple bids with tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and detail. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Work with one of the largest and most technically advanced concrete contractors in the country. Exposure to projects ranging from $10M to $300M+. Strong internal support team, from VDC to engineering and field operations. Estimator – Bay Area (Concrete Contractor) 150-200k!
Overview
Seeking an Estimator to join their Bay Area team. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile commercial, infrastructure, and mixed-use projects with one of the most respected self-performing concrete groups in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and proposals for structural and architectural concrete scopes.
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and field teams to ensure accuracy in scope and pricing.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Lead bid strategy discussions and participate in pre-bid meetings and site walks.
- Support the transition from estimating to project execution, ensuring continuity between preconstruction and operations.
