Job Summary
The position will be involved in technical areas ranging from support of enterprise business logic, delivery of new initiatives supporting Ellucian's Banner ERP, and planning, implementation, and support of the varied ecosystem of 3rd party applications that augment the ERP functionality. This position will also support reporting initiatives and other process improvements as required by campus needs. This entails :
- Working closely with functional users to identify needs and problems
- Translating functional requirements into technical specifications
- Developing innovative solutions utilizing Banner administrative and self-service applications, as well as third-party systems / applications to support and enhance business operations
- Working with the Ellucian SMO (Satellite Maintenance Office) as an integrated team
- Applying best-practice and established system analysis procedures
- Utilizing design and programming concepts, principles and standards.
This position is responsible for supporting functional user needs, ERP integrations, and business logic while providing technical support for other student information-related projects for the campus.
This position offers the opportunity to work remotely with the occasional need to travel to the System office and community college for in person meetings.
Job Duties
10% - Analyze and evaluate business needs, policies and procedures, federal and state regulations and requirements, available resources and tools, vendor releases and roadmaps, etc. to plan, design, specify guidelines and implement new programs, changes and operating procedures. - (Essential)55% - Develop and maintain Banner workflows, system integrations and interfaces between Banner and third-party systems / applications. - (Essential)20% - Interact with functional and technical staff throughout the College community to troubleshoot issues and implement resolutions. - (Essential)5% - Ensure that system documentation is current. - (Essential)5% - Communicate and coordinate with other team members to ensure project goals are met. - (Marginal)5% - Perform other duties as assigned. - (Marginal)Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field or Associate's degree and 4 years of current experience in a related area.Minimum of 2 years of related work experienceExperience with a programming / macro language such as ProC / PL / SQL and Oracle database analysis3 years of experience working in both technical support and end-user support environmentsPreferred Qualifications
