As a Security Officer - Shelter Patrol Operations in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the assigned shelter location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for those in your care. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to promote a secure atmosphere, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $16.83 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately when emergencies arise.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and / or policy violations.
  • Document observations and incidents as required by site procedures, maintaining accurate records for Allied Universal and the client.
  • Assist individuals at the shelter location with directions, site information, and general assistance as needed.
  • Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence throughout the assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or disruptive behavior.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
