A leading engineering and design firm in downtown Fort Worth is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join its expanding industrial team. This office supports a wide range of clients across the Food, Beverage, and Pharmaceutical sectors , delivering high-performance warehouse and manufacturing facilities that meet stringent operational and regulatory standards.

The team works on hundreds of projects annually, ranging from ground-up warehouse shell buildings to complex renovations, expansions, and retrofits . Engineers collaborate directly with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored solutions that support production, logistics, and compliance needs.

Project Types Include :

  • New construction of GMP-compliant warehouse shell buildings for food processing, beverage bottling, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Custom elevated structural platforms for interior and exterior equipment installations.
  • Facility expansions and retrofits , including seismic upgrades, load capacity enhancements, and structural remediation.
  • Forensic assessments of aging industrial structures to evaluate performance and recommend solutions.
  • Integrated design coordination with architectural, MEP, and process engineering teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Engineer, analyze, and design structural systems for industrial buildings, with a focus on warehouse shells.
  • Prepare detailed narrative reports outlining project scope, design rationale, and recommendations.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and structural calculation submittals.
  • Lead coordination efforts with internal and external teams to ensure design integrity and clash resolution.
  • Conduct forensic studies and assess structural impacts of building modifications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development across the team.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations throughout design and construction phases.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design, ideally with industrial building types.
  • Proficiency in concrete, steel, tilt-up, and foundation design.
  • Experience with RISA or similar structural analysis software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical facility design is highly preferred.
