The Medical Unit at St. Catherine Hospital specializes in general medical and surgical patient care and is a 48-bed unit. We treat adult patients that are 16 years and older needing medical or surgical intervention with no overflow from other departments. We are a desirable department because we value teamwork and collaboration. Patient safety and experience is a priority as well as employee job satisfaction. As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for :

• Facilitating communicating and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient / family to identify and meet the physical emotional and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promote the optimal health well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care organizational mission and core values.
