The Quality Management System (QMS) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the implementation,
maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System for our Control Panel Manufacturing Facility in Eastern Washington. This role will ensure that the organization's processes, products, and services meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements. The QMS Supervisor will lead audits, manage documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality assurance initiatives throughout the company.
Responsibilities :
QMS Oversight and Management :
- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 or other relevant
- standards.
- Develop and review QMS documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and forms,
- ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the QMS to identify areas for improvement.
Audit and Compliance :
Lead internal and external audits of the QMS to ensure compliance with applicable standards andregulatory requirements.Prepare audit reports, track non-conformities, and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventiveactions (CAPA).Liaise with external regulatory bodies or certifying agencies during audits and inspections.Training and Support :
Provide training and support to staff on QMS procedures, quality standards, and best practices.Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.Data Management and Reporting :
Collect and analyze quality data to track performance metrics, identify trends, and developrecommendations for improvement.Generate regular quality reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) andany quality issues or risks.Process Improvement :
Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement process improvements aimed at reducingdefects, waste, and non-conformities.Lead or participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address recurring qualityissues.Supplier and Customer Relations :
Monitor and manage supplier quality performance, conducting supplier audits and ensuring suppliersmeet quality standards.Work with customers to address quality concerns, complaints, and feedback.Qualifications and Education :
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field(preferred).Experience :
3+ years of experience in quality management or quality assurance roles, with at least 1 year in asupervisory or lead role.Experience with ISO 9001, or other relevant quality standards, is required.Previous experience leading internal and external audits is strongly preferred.Skills & Competencies :
Strong knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and techniques (e.g., root cause analysis,statistical process control).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of theorganization.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Proficient in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Attention to detail with a commitment to continuous improvement and problem-solving.Certifications :
Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is a plus.Working Conditions :This position is typically office-based with regular visits to production areas, along with occasional visits to suppliers or customer sites.Some travel may be required for audits or training.What We Offer :
