Strong category strategy and category management specifically within commodities

Role is really focused on negotiations and working within contracts and directly with the vendors (understand the category - i.e. transportation do research and understand it, etc.)

Take a category understand it, understand the market intelligence, determine the category strategy

Not only looking for RFQ (although this is 1 part of the process - end result of the strategy)

Negotiating contacts, reviewing contracts in order to strengthen them, think outside the box - how do we look at the contract and negotiate its favors to the company

Creative thinking, innovative, providing insights, bring in new ideas, pivot outside the box, strategic but maybe add this to the contract, strategize

Day1 for this person look at the contract for review make recommendations on how they could make the contracts better (i.e. its missing this / that, add KPIs, add this to make it stronger, etc.) - need a procurement professional what would you add to a contract from a procurement side / aspect
