American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department float position in California, requiring a CA RN license and current AHA certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is a true 100% float role between three hospital campuses within the same health systemEmergency Department setting caring for a diverse patient populationNight shift schedule working three 12-hour shifts per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Weekend rotation and on-call responsibilities requiredTravelers may be scheduled at different campuses for each shift, with notification provided two hours in advanceShuttle transport available between campuses, which are within 15 minutes of each otherFloating to other system locations required if census is lowResponsible for providing direct patient care using the full nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and continual reassessmentServes as a patient advocate, coordinates care, and promotes clinical quality and safetyMandatory training modules are completed during orientation through e-learningOnly one holiday will be approved for requested time off during the contractDress code and scrubs policy will be provided during onboardingTravelers are rarely required to float mid-shift\n \n Requirements\n
Active CA RN license required at the time of considerationMinimum 3 years of Emergency Department experienceCurrent AHA certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS requiredEpic EMR experience preferredMust be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing offerMust live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for the travel rateReturn staff must have been gone at least 1 year to be eligible as travelers\n Benefits\n
