Sanitation Supervisor
The Supervisor leads hourly employees to achieve daily performance goals in safety, quality, and productivity. This role manages labor, equipment, and materials efficiently while supporting team development, sanitation processes, and compliance with standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include overseeing training, timekeeping, documentation, and employee relations, as well as driving continuous improvement initiatives and coordinating with third-party partners like EcoLab. Flexibility for overtime and MHE use is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for hourly employees to continually improve performance and results to "Win the Day"
- Ensure the safe, efficient and effective use of labour, equipment and material resources
- Utilize available data and resources to continuously improve safety, quality, productivity and service
- Assist hourly team members in diagnosing malfunctions in their work and around machine activities
- Create and manage work requests
- Responsible for the reporting of defects
- Conduct required training for sanitation and operational tasks
- Plan and manage sanitation duties on shift
- Create and review Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)'s for various work centers
- Coach hourly team members on roles and responsibilities
- Facilitate employee relations investigations
- Responsible for following up and maintaining documentation for corrective actions
- Oversee hourly employee timecards in the labor tracking system
- Lead communication for all hourly employees on shift
- Liaise with third-party representatives
- Participate and support all continuous improvement initiatives assigned
- The competent supervisor for all team members on shift
- Able to comfortably use required material handling equipment (MHE)
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
Qualifications
