Job Description – Production Manager
Position Summary
We are actively seeking a results-oriented and technical Production Manager (PM) who oversees all day-to-day production operations including but not limited to the machining, stamping and fabrication departments.
The job centers around analyzing and improving processes to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, on time, and to the company's quality standards. The person in this role is expected to have a high level of expertise, and an ability to spot and correct errors.
The role requires strong leadership and drive to get the work done right and quickly, while always focusing on accomplishing the goals set with the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production staff, coordinating resources, maintaining equipment, and driving continuous improvement across the production floor.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production operations to meet customer delivery deadlines and company goals.
- Supervise and lead production, planning, purchasing, and shipping staff, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and discipline when needed.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules / resources to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Collaborate cross functionally with engineering and senior leadership to ensure timely delivery of customer products.
- Develop and enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations.
- Track production KPIs (output, scrap, downtime, labor utilization) and prepare regular reports for management.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase throughput.
- Oversee maintenance of production equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Manage departmental budgets and control production costs.
Working Conditions
Primarily based in a manufacturing plant environment.May require long hours or weekend work during peak production times.Occasional travel for meetings, training, or vendor visits.Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, operations management, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in manufacturing / production, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.Strong leadership and team-building skills.Solid understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement tools is a plus.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Proficiency with production management software (MRP / ERP) and basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing).Benefits :
