• Proof of pending DC license at time of submission
• Experience in neuro intensive care unit

Description :

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Neuro ICU position.

The majority of shifts will be during the day.

Up to two weeks of the six-week schedule could involve night shifts.

Special equipment experience with EVD, Artic Sun, CVVH, and PA catheter preferred.

Must have skills in conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management.

Preferred skills include managing arterial lines, IV starts, and phlebotomy.

No on-call requirements stated.

Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.

All employees must have the flu vaccine.

Interdisciplinary support available from various teams.

The daily census is 14 patients with a patient ratio of 2.

Experience with acute stroke management and post-neurosurgery care is beneficial.

Must be prepared for additional modules and training as needed.
