We are seeking a highly skilled and client-focused Data Implementation Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the end-to-end configuration, implementation, and optimization of our B2B software databases for enterprise clients. You will serve as the primary technical expert during implementation projects, ensuring seamless data collection, management, and integration using SQL-based platforms. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in database administration with exceptional client-facing and leadership skills to deliver successful, high-quality solutions that meet complex business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead technical point of contact for enterprise-level professional services engagements, from initial scope definition to final delivery.
- Design, configure, and implement intricate SQL-based database schemas to support client-specific data collection and management requirements.
- Lead and execute complex ETL processes to migrate data from disparate client systems into our platform.
- Analyze and troubleshoot database performance issues; develop and implement strategies for query optimization, indexing, and overall database tuning.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including solution design documents, implementation guides, and best practices.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues during and after implementation, working closely with the client and internal teams to provide timely resolutions.
Collaboration
Work closely with the Sales Team during the pre-sales phase to scope and define technical requirements for professional services engagements.Collaborate with the Product Development Team to provide client feedback, identify new feature opportunities, and assist with product testing and validation.Partner with the Customer Support Team to ensure a smooth transition from implementation to ongoing support and to resolve post-go?live issues.Requirements
Technical Expertise
2-4 years of experience with relational database design and performance tuning, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.Hands?on experience with at least one major RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).Practical experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend) and a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts.Demonstrated success in configuring, implementing, and integrating B2B software solutions for enterprise clients.Experience leveraging AI tools to support automation of database creation.Client-Facing Skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear language for non?technical stakeholders.Proven ability to manage client relationships, set realistic expectations, and navigate challenging project dynamics while maintaining high client satisfaction.Experience leading client workshops, presenting technical solutions, and conducting training sessions.Leadership & Project Management
Prior experience leading professional services engagements, managing project teams, and mentoring junior colleagues.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and adhere to timelines and budgets.Education / Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Relevant professional certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Certified Professional) but not required.Problem-Solving
Excellent analytical and problem?solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to data integrity, performance, and system integration promptly.Experience using AI tools in everyday work environments.Location : Austin, TX
Salary range : $89,301.33 $165,845.33 (approx.)
