Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or related field preferred 2+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a healthcare or residential care setting Familiarity with California wage and hour laws, including overtime and split-shift rules Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar Strong attention to detail and confidentiality Excellent communication and organizational skills Bilingual (English / Spanish or other languages) is a plus

- Process payroll for direct care staff, administrative personnel, and other facility employees using Paylocity
- Track and reconcile timecards, shift differentials, overtime, and on-call hours
- Maintain accurate employee records including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or schedules
- Ensure compliance with California labor laws, wage orders, and Department of Social Services (DSS) regulations
- Collaborate with HR to ensure proper documentation for paid time off, sick leave, and leave of absence
- Prepare payroll reports for management and assist with audits or inspections
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits
- Support year-end reporting including W-2 and other tax documentation
