Lift Operations Supervisor

Overview

Mt. Hood Meadows is seeking a passionate, safety-minded, and guest-focused Lift Operations Supervisor to join our mountain operations leadership team. In this dynamic role, you'll oversee multiple chairlift crews, ensuring each lift runs safely, efficiently, and with excellent guest service at its core.

As a Lift Operations Supervisor, you'll play a key part in the day-to-day operations on the mountain; training and supporting your team, monitoring safety and procedures, managing on-hill communications, and working collaboratively with other departments like Patrol, Grooming, and Maintenance. You'll be the go-to leader for lift attendants, leads, and Operators in Charge (OICs), setting the tone for professionalism, fun, and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous Supervisory experience
• Advanced understanding of chairlift machinery
• Able to be insured to drive company vehicles
• Must be able to commit to working weekends and holidays during the winter season
• Strong grasp of the English language and excellent communication skills
• Strong communication, verbal and written, including clarity and protocol with 2-way radios
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to provide effective snow removal and snow work as needed
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Intermediate or above ski or snowboard ability
• Able to maintain a dependable attendance record
• Reliable transportation plan for winter road conditions
• Able to perform all of the duties of Access Leads, Lift Attendants, and Operators in Charge
• Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business
