  • The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    Position Summary

    The Developmental Affective Neuroscience Lab ( DAN Lab ) is seeking a Research Staff Assistant to provide assistance with research investigating the brain mechanisms of social-emotional and cognitive development. The incumbent will report directly to the Principal Investigator, Nim Tottenham, PhD. The Dan Lab conducts research on emotional development, associated neurobiology, and the role of early experiences in this development.

    This position is contingent upon continued funding.

    Responsibilities

    • Organize subject scheduling and running of subjects.
    • Assist with running lab experiments :

    • Administer computer tasks and questionnaires.
    • Prepare paperwork and materials for research visits.
    • Collect and maintain research data, including behavioral and FMRI data collection.
    • Perform administrative duties related to research (e.g. grant preparation, supply orders, etc.)
    • Prepare reports, draft proposals, and manage related correspondence.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Minimum Qualification

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • 0-3 Months of experience in a research environment.
    • Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
    • 6 months of research experience is desirable.
