MRI Technologist

Job Description Qualifications Education Completion of an accredited Radiological Science program Certifications & Licensure ARRT registration or registry-eligible (must provide diploma) Advanced MR certification required within 1 year of employment BLS for Healthcare Providers required Must maintain registry status and CE requirements annually Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Identification Verify patient identity and pregnancy status Ensure patient understanding and safety Assist patients and families with professionalism MRI Technology & Imaging Operate MRI scanners and related equipment (PACS, laser printers, disc drives) Demonstrate knowledge of MRI and cross-sectional anatomy Administer oral and IV contrast per protocol Establish IV lines and check lab values before contrast injection Image Transfer & Documentation Transmit images to PACS, EPIC, and QC stations Verify image segmentation and demographic accuracy Manage orders and prevent duplicate billing Workflow & Quality Maintain clean and organized work environment Produce high-quality diagnostic images Review patient charts for correlation Volunteer for complex procedures and research tasks Mentorship Precept new employees and students
