About The Position

Job Title : Medical Equipment Technician

Hours per Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Experience : 1 year

License : High School Diploma or GED required

Certifications : Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technology, Biomedical Engineering Technology, Biomedical Electronics Technology, or related field preferred

Must-Have :

• Ability to communicate and work well with others, including nurses and anesthesiologists.
• Strong attention to detail for stocking and maintenance responsibilities.

Description :

Repairs, calibrates, operates, and maintains all types of basic medical equipment technologies, devices, instruments, and systems.

Inspects, installs, and provides preventive maintenance of general equipment.

Much of the role requires proper stocking, checking for expired items, and turning over the operating room.

Ensures that machines are clean and dusted regularly.

Effective communication is essential as the role involves taking orders and assisting various healthcare staff.

This position may become a full-time role if the individual performs well within the department.

Use of a cellphone and beeper is required for urgent communications, including notifying staff of breaks and lunch times.
