PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Claremont, NH 03743 – Beautiful New England town with vibrant local culture and outdoor recreation

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026)

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM, 12-hour night shifts

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990–$2130

Weekend / Holiday Coverage : Every other weekend and holiday coverage required (must be available for at least two major holidays)

Unit : Med Surg / Telemetry / PCU

RN / Patient Ratio : 5 : 1 (Med Surg / Telemetry); 3 : 1 or 4 : 1 (higher acuity PCU patients)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire

Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical Surgical (Med / Surg), and Telemetry nursing

Proficient in cardiac monitoring and interpretation

Basic dysrhythmia test required (include results in profile)

Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred

Experience in rural or small healthcare facilities preferred

Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Certifications : BLS and ACLS (AHA required)

Must have own vehicle for assignment

Permanent address must be included in application; candidates within 50 miles of facility not eligible

Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application (maximum 5 days for 13-week assignment)

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med Surg / Telemetry / PCU unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to changes promptly

Manage care for a diverse patient population, including newborns, adults, and geriatric patients

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members in a rural hospital setting

Maintain accurate patient documentation and uphold safety standards

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment

Adhere to facility policies, including dress code (personal scrubs of any color permitted)
