Cash Reconciliation Analyst

Jackson Hewitt is looking for a part-time, seasonal Cash Reconciliation Analyst to join our team remotely on a temporary basis (November May) to help us reconcile tax preparation fees paid by our clients in all company-owned locations.

What you'll do here :

Work with the Cash Reconciliation Supervisor on reconciling all Company Owned Stores Tax Preparation Fee actual cash payments to expected amounts, and deposits flow to our depository banks are done timely.

Job Summary :

The Cash Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for daily reconciliation of all cash receipts accepted as tax preparation fees in our 2,400+ company-owned locations across the US on a timely basis. Also, verbal communication with the managers in the field to ensure the deposits flow to the banks are done in accordance with our procedure and identify / call out cash shortages before they manifest into a financial detriment to the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Work with the Cash Reconciliation Supervisor daily on reconciling cash.
• Generates and analyzes reports to identify problems and trends in shortage management.
• Acts as a resource to field staff to resolve unreconciled items and audit activities.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Responds to internal field inquiries within 2 business days Performs other duties as required.

Internal Customer Support :

Will be the key liaison to the entire COO organization (managers and tax preparers) for all tax preparation fees payment processing related issues and shortages. Work closely with the field managers and tax preparers to resolve payment shortages timely.
