Position Summary :
The Accountant supports financial management activities with a focus on fee policy, cost analysis, and user fee review processes. This role involves developing and updating cost models, identifying cost factors for pricing services, and ensuring accurate calculations of both direct and indirect costs. The Accountant plays a key role in providing financial insights that inform policy and decision-making.
Responsibilities
Leverage knowledge of GFMS processes and transactions
Develop fee policy and procedures.
Coordinate the biennial User Fee review process.
Calculate the direct and indirect full cost of providing services.
Update and maintain existing cost models.
Serve as liaison with the Department of State and NIST to ensure requested changes are properly designed, tested, and deployed.
Identify and evaluate cost factors to be considered when pricing goods and services.
Requirements
Bachelors degree (BS / BA) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
Minimum of 2+ years of professional accounting or financial management experience.
Experience in cost accounting, pricing analysis, or fee policy development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial modeling and cost analysis.
Ability to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
