Facilities Technician (1st shift 7 : 00AM-3 : 00PM)
This non-supervisory position, located in Delavan, Wisconsin, will oversee the operation and maintenance of the Continental Plastic (CPC) campus that includes facility systems for heating, lighting, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, brick / mortar, lawncare, snow removal and other related areas. Duties also include assistance in machine design and installation in an effort to drive profitability and achieve organizational KPI's and strategic objectives. Under the guidance of the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor, responsibilities include :
Provide routine and detailed maintenance and services with direct or indirect supervision, or by providing vendor oversight. This includes HVAC, plumbing; external surfaces, carpentry, roofing, painting, etc. at a level not requiring formal licensure.Perform highly varied duties to assist in designing, assembling, or installing production machines and equipment.Using root cause analyses to identify sources of problems on inoperative machines / equipment by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for irregular noises, identifying problems by using visual inspections; using precision measuring and testing instruments.Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery noting any irregularities. Preparing and submitting mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and entering relevant information and trends in maintenance tracking program.Successful candidates will possess the following :
Education, training, and experience equivalent to a high school diploma / GED with at least 2 years of directly related experience in a manufacturing environment. Coursework should be supplemented with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Must be fluent in speaking and writing English and possess a working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.Must possess a solid knowledge and understanding of the principles and methods involved in manufacturing maintenance processes, local building codes and government regulations, agency rules involved in areas of licensure, and applicable safety and OSHA requirements.Must have or be able to attain forklift and aerial lift licensure.Must possess the ability to build positive team relationships and achieve outcome-oriented objectives, working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN Enterprise) with a holistic viewpoint.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities and managing time effectively.If you meet these qualifications and are looking for a great opportunity to utilize your talents, please apply with a current detailed resume and salary requirements to https : / / continentalplastic.com / careers.
