Shift : Day Shift | Monday Friday | 5x7.5-Hour Shifts (8 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM)

Position Summary :

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join a supportive school-based team in Durango, CO. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide targeted therapeutic interventions that help students achieve functional and academic success.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Support the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing treatment strategies.

Conduct therapeutic activities focused on fine motor development, sensory integration, and daily living skills.

Accurately document student progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes.

Communicate effectively with students, families, teachers, and interdisciplinary staff.

Adhere to school district policies and maintain strict confidentiality.

Qualifications :

Education & Certification :

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Current and active COTA license in the state of Colorado.

Experience :

Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.

Skills :

Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques appropriate for a school environment.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Patience and adaptability when working with diverse student populations.
