About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 13 hours

Experience : Minimum of 1 year; first timers accepted

License : GA RRT License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS

Must-Have : Trauma experience required; pulmonary function testing preferred

Description :

This position will involve working with a diverse patient population, including infants through geriatrics.

Primarily focusing on adult respiratory therapy, this role may also require interactions with pediatric intubated patients.

The facility is a level 2 trauma center and an interventional stroke-certified location.

It is also home to a level 3 NICU, which serves as the regional transport resource.

Key responsibilities include managing non-invasive ventilation, conventional ventilation, and aerosol therapy.

The role also involves performing bedside pulmonary function tests, arterial lines, oxygen management, patient education, and arterial and capillary blood gas procedures.

Experience in trauma care is necessary.

Familiarity with pulmonary function testing (spirometry testing) is preferred.

Skills in using various medical equipment and systems are required.

Floating between facilities may be necessary.

Travelers are expected to be available for major holidays per the facility policy.

Full compliance with all requirements is needed to start on time.
