Job description:
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide care to patients in a manner that promotes safety and comfort within the clinical research environment
Assist patients with activities of daily living; attend to patient behavioral problems and aid in crisis intervention, as needed
Chart patient observations, following protocols and standard operating procedures
Apply compassion to always preserve and safeguard the dignity of patients
Conducts minimal non-protocol specific medical assessments, i.e. automatic blood pressure measurements, temperature monitoring, etc.
Works with Unit Clinician to facilitate/oversee patient check-in/check-outs
Promotes a physically and emotionally safe environment, including conducting regular checks on subjects, subject rooms, subject inventory, and facility property
Utilizes de-escalation techniques to mitigate any potential patient crises
Collaborates with Principal Investigator, Clinical Raters, and Clinical Research Coordinators to oversee patient experience
Monitor the physical status of patients and performs tasks that ensure physical well-being.
