This role blends hands-on engineering with cross-functional leadership to deliver turnkey solutions for food processing and packaging environments.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities

• Design and develop conveyor systems and mechanical components using CAD tools (SolidWorks).
• Plan, delegate, and schedule work to be performed, which includes monitoring and communicating with those performing work delegated, or happening in other areas, to assure timelines are met. (EX : material acquisition, outsourced drafting, MRP system loading, and production planning)
• Provide technical support, field application support, training, and technical data to all other areas of the company as needed to meet or exceed our customer expectations.
• Formulate creative and efficient design solutions, maintaining structural integrity of the product while optimizing customer desires, feature requirements, cost, and manufacturing throughput goals.
• Create detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Manage full project lifecycle : scope, schedule, budget, and client communication.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
• Communicate positively with managers, peers, and customers, both internal and external.
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
