Job Description
Responsibilities :
Coordinates all shutdowns and repairs with supervisors and operators. Uses proper safety procedures including Lockout / Tagout.
Performs daily preventive maintenance functions as scheduled.
Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment.
Connect power supply wires to equipment.
Diagnose malfunctioning electrical apparatus.
Test malfunctioning machinery.
Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components.
Select proper weld process, types of rods, and tools needed and employ appropriate welding.
Records inspection and test results and prepare and submit reports to maintenance engineering personnel.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to the problem area.
Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
Remove and replace worn or defective parts of the drive mechanism or hydraulic system.
Realign and adjust components such as spindles and clutches.
Locate damaged air and hydraulic pipes on the machine, measure, cut, threads, and install the new pipe.
Start machines and equipment to test operation following repair.

Qualifications :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two-years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in mechanical, electrical, welding, mechanist, or machine repair. Electrical experience is preferred. \n
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
