Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Neonatal MD in Henrico, Virginia, 23229!

About The Position

📝 Description :

  • A leading Richmond-based hospital is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join a collaborative and innovative team providing 24 / 7 in-house coverage in a modern 40-bed Level III NICU. This is a full-time permanent position focused exclusively on NICU care, in a family-centered single-room care environment.

📋 Job Responsibilities :

  • Deliver intensive care to critically ill newborns in a Level III NICU
  • Participate in a 24-hour in-house Neonatologist rotation schedule
  • Use advanced neonatal therapies : HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, therapeutic hypothermia
  • Collaborate with pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists
  • Coordinate with nurse-led neonatal transport team
  • Contribute to quality improvement, safety, and clinical research initiatives
  • No newborn nursery coverage required

    • ⏰ Working Hours :

  • Shift Type : 24-Hour In-House Coverage
  • Includes weekends as part of rotational schedule
  • No on-call requirements (in-house presence always)

    Job Requirements

    🎓 Qualifications :

  • Board Certified / Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (within 5 years) – Required
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics – Required
  • Virginia medical license or eligibility – Required
  • Clean malpractice and license history – Highly Preferred
