Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Job Title : Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Spencer, Iowa 51301

Assignment Dates : October 20, 2025 – December 15, 2025

Contract Length : 8 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7p–7a), every 3rd weekend, rotating holidays

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2130 – $2190

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Iowa RN license or compact state RN license required

Minimum 1 year of Med / Surg nursing experience

At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and CPI certifications

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive patient care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) phases

Collaborate with family practice OB providers and support TOLAC / VBAC services

Deliver postoperative care for GYN patients

Monitor patient status, administer medications, and document nursing care accurately

Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum, and newborn care

Adapt to department needs and participate in a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays
