Job description

Job Title : Caregiver

Job Summary :

HOME, inc. is a personal care agency seeking an experienced caregiver to provide personalized care services to our clients in their homes. The caregiver will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication reminders. The caregiver will also be responsible for providing companionship and emotional support to clients.

Responsibilities :

Assist clients with personal care, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

Administer medications as prescribed by the client’s physician

Plan and prepare meals in accordance with the client’s dietary needs and preferences

Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

Escort clients to appointments or social events as needed

Document and report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor

Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 1-year experience as a caregiver or similar role

Ability to follow instructions and care plan

Ability to communicate effectively with clients, family members, and other healthcare professionals

Ability to lift and move clients safely

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Must pass a criminal background check and drug test

Working Conditions :

The caregiver will work in the client’s home, which may include a variety of physical settings and conditions. The caregiver will be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and may be required to work overtime.

Physical Demands :

The caregiver must be able to lift and move clients safely, as well as perform other physical tasks associated with personal care and household tasks. The caregiver may be required to stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods of time.
