Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist with expertise in pelvic health to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing and treating pelvic health conditions, with a focus on female patients. This role requires a holistic approach to patient care, combining manual therapy techniques with exercise prescription and patient education.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat a wide range of pelvic health conditions, including :
Postpartum recovery
Pelvic floor dysfunctionPelvic painUrinary and fecal incontinencePelvic organ prolapseDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goalsApply manual therapy techniques, including soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, and myofascial releasePrescribe and teach appropriate exercises to improve pelvic floor function, core strength, and overall mobilityProvide comprehensive patient education on pelvic health, anatomy, and self-management strategiesUtilize biofeedback and other modalities to enhance treatment effectivenessMaintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notesCollaborate with other healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, gynecologists, and urologists, to ensure comprehensive patient careStay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in pelvic health physical therapyParticipate in regular team meetings and contribute to the clinic's continuous improvement effortsMaintain a clean and safe treatment environmentAdhere to all professional and ethical standards, as well as clinic policies and proceduresQualificationsRequired :
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited programCurrent state licensure as a Physical TherapistMinimum of 2 years of experience in pelvic health physical therapyProficiency in assessing and treating pelvic health conditions, including postpartum recovery, pelvic floor dysfunction, pain, incontinence, and prolapseStrong manual therapy skills and ability to integrate them with exercise prescription and patient educationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practicePreferred :
