Overview :
Born Primitive is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. This role is hands-on and dynamic, supporting a wide range of HR functions with a strong focus on talent acquisition and HR operations. You'll partner with the Director of Human Resources to recruit top talent, deliver a seamless onboarding experience, manage employee data, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen our culture and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as a trusted resource for employees by addressing concerns and promoting a positive workplace culture.Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.Support employee engagement programs that strengthen retention and alignment with company values.Maintain accurate personnel files and ensure HRIS data integrity.Oversee the full cycle recruiting process and talent acquisition including but not limited to : Screening incoming resumes and applicationsCoordinating and scheduling interviews with hiring managers and candidatesAssisting the hiring managers with preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materialsFacilitating communication with candidates throughout the recruitment processMaintain and update job postings as necessaryConduct new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experienceCoordinate pre-employment screening processes, including background checks and reference checks when appropriateSupport benefits enrollment and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.Maintain a working knowledge of the company HRIS system (Rippling preferred), Google Workspace, and other software applications utilized by HR.Generate reports and track HR metrics to support decision-making.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as OFCCP requirements when applicable.Contribute to HR projects such as policy updates, process improvements, and training initiatives.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.2–4 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist capacity with exposure to recruiting.Experience or familiarity with e-commerce, retail operations, and / or warehouse operations preferred.Experience managing full-cycle recruitment in a fast-paced environment.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.Experience with HRIS systems such as Rippling.Excellent relationship management and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to support a growing, entrepreneurial company.
