Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism and / or other unwanted behavior within the retail environment. Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards or suspicious activities according to site policies and Allied Universal procedures. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials when necessary, and directing individuals as appropriate. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors and team members to provide information and assistance as required. CPR certification is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
