Travel RN Job Details Location : Washington, DC 20007 (Georgetown) Healthcare Setting : Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital Unit : General Medicine / Telemetry (16 beds) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 3 / 2025, End : 2 / 2 / 2026) Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (18 : 30 - 07 : 00), every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per contract) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1590 - $1710 per week Charting System : Cerner EMR Orientation : 24 hours COVID-19 Vaccine : Not required Flu Vaccine : Required (no exemptions) Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required Active DC Registered Nurse license (pending accepted with proof; must have in hand by start date) BLS certification required ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred Proficiency in telemetry, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy (including PICC and peripheral lines), dysrhythmia interpretation, and feeding tube care Charge nurse experience preferred Must pass EKG test during orientation Two supervisor references required Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Ability to work Thanksgiving holiday Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical and telemetry diagnoses Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including PICC and peripheral lines Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services) Provide care for patients requiring special isolation precautions and manage complex conditions such as pneumonia, CHF, COPD, endocrine disorders, renal failure, stroke, and autoimmune diseases Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed Float to other nursing units as required Apply now to join our Washington, DC healthcare team as a Med / Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
