Job Title : CNC Operator (Temp‑to‑Perm)

Location : Arlington, TX

Shift : 1st or 2nd shift (open)

Pay : $20.00 / hour

Job Summary :

Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Operator for a temp‑to‑perm position at our Arlington facility. This role is open for either 1st or 2nd shift , depending on candidate availability. You will work with CNC machines to produce parts to specification, maintain quality standards, and support setup or operation processes as needed. Over time, there's opportunity for full‑time conversion.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate CNC equipment (mills, lathes, machining centers) to produce quality parts per prints and specifications.
  • Perform in‑process inspection and minor adjustments to maintain tolerances.
  • Assist or lead machine setup , tool changes, fixturing, and alignment when required.
  • Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot minor issues, and coordinate maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area; follow safety protocols.
  • Complete production logs, inspection reports, and documentation.
  • Support shift handoffs and coordinate with Quality and Production teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications :

  • Proven experience working directly on CNC machines (not just overseeing).
  • Familiarity with one or more CNC control systems (e.g. Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.).
  • Basic skills in blueprint reading, GD&T, and shop mathematics.
  • Ability to use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
  • Good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work full shift.
  • Nice‑to‑Have Skills & Experience :

  • Experience in fastener or metal fabrication industries.
  • Experience programming CNCs or modifying programs.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and machine repairs.
  • Ability to mentor or train others in machine operation.
  • Contract & Conversion Details :

  • This is a temporary assignment with the intention to convert to permanent employment, dependent on performance
  • Duration and evaluation period will be determined upon hire
  • Shift assignment (1st or 2nd) will be based on mutual agreement and business needs
