This Administrative Coordinator 2 role is the front-line communication of the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), directly impacting access to education and support across the state.
This position is ideal for an organized, compassionate, and highly effective communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll serve as a core representative on our CCAP Communication and Systems team, using specialized eligibility systems to provide accurate information and resolution to stakeholders.
This role offers a unique mix of direct public service and specialized program administration. You'll be instrumental in ensuring families receive timely and correct information about their eligibility for the Child Care Assistance Program, directly contributing to the LDOE's mission to support Louisiana's children and families.
Candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply : attention to detail, ability to use independent judgment in support of the staff members and / or operations of an organizational unit or program, and ability to follow detailed procedural guidelines in completing well-defined duties.
An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies : accepting direction, managing resources, using data, adapting to change, communicating effectively, displaying professionalism, following policies and procedures, learning actively, managing systems, and managing time.
One year of experience in administrative services. Experience substitution : every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Appointment Type : Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected. Career Progression : This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group. Work Schedule : Workdays are Monday - Friday; work hours will be determined. Compensation : The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Note regarding the advertised pay range : The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
