Job Summary :

The Dermatology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating common dermatological disorders such as psoriasis, dermatitis, or eczema and dermatological infections such as those caused by viruses, fungi, or bacteria. Advises patients regarding prescriptions and treatment plans. Follows all federal, state, and nursing guidelines, regulations, and standards. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, including x-rays, blood work, and scans. Refers patients to specialists if necessary and analyzes medical records and reports. They perform patient intake, provide patient education on skincare and skin cancer prevention, and complete nursing tasks, like removing stitches after a procedure.

Qualifications / Requirements :

A Masters' Degree in Nursing / Physician Assistant Studies is required.

Active State License as Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant.

Board Certification (ARNP, PA-C, PANCE, AANP, or equivalent) required.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Dermatology is required.
