Job descriptionSuccessful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment. Relevant experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax. Proficiency in preparing individual tax returns with attention to detail. A fast-paced working style with a positive and professional demeanor. Comfortable using virtual communication tools and effectively communicating in person, over the phone, and in writing. A commitment to completing continuing education and meeting all IRS and applicable state requirements. High school diploma or equivalent is required; higher education is preferred. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. CPA or Enrolled Agent certification. Experience preparing complex tax returns (individual, trust, partnership). 5+ years of experience in relevant fields such as accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax. A history of conducting virtual tax interviews. Tax planning and audit support experience. Sales and / or marketing experience.

A typical day involves :
- Conducting personal tax interviews with clients in person and through virtual tools such as video, phone, chat, and email.
- Preparing complete and accurate tax returns for a diverse clientele.
- Driving business growth by increasing client retention and offering additional services.
- Providing comprehensive IRS support, with opportunities for all certification levels to offer tax notice services and Circular 230 associates to provide audit representation.
- Mentoring and supporting your teammates to foster a collaborative work environment.
