Job Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
We are looking for a Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer to lead design projects in operational data centers, that remediate issues, upgrade our existing infrastructure or add new services. As an ideal candidate, you will possess strong engineering judgement, be detail and data oriented, and have experience managing engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions which add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and / or increase sustainability.
- Prepare and review short circuit coordination studies and maintain the software models to match as-built site conditions.
- Perform design and equipment submittal reviews for Data Centers in your region.
- Interface with internal and external data center design engineering teams, server hardware teams, environmental health and safety teams, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.0-2+ cumulative years of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to : data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities.Organized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and budget, work cross functionally to solve problems.Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, or other legally protected status.
